Contraceptive Repeats

Please speak to your pharmacist at the local chemist if you need a repeat contraception prescription. If we have any questions then a doctor or nurse will call you within 48 hours to clarify things.

We may send you a text questionnaire about the prescription to make sure that the contraceptive method is still safe for you. If you don’t have your own BP machine at home, you can speak to reception after 12:30 and then come to use our public machine. We cannot issue your medicine if we don’t have a record of your weight and BP in the last year.

If you are due a smear test then please make an appointment with a Practice Nurse – you can send a message via AskMyGP or call and speak to a receptionist.

There are longer acting methods of contraception available which have benefits (such as not needing to take a pill)

If you would like to discuss this further then please make an appointment with a General Practice Nurse/GP/Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

Non-urgent advice: Patient Notice

Please request repeat contraception through askmyGP, detailing which contraception you are taking.
